This document is an attempt to describe all features of our Forum.

It is a list, but don't expect it to be a complete list, since there are so many features our forum has... I wouldn't be surprised if I missed one or two (maybe even more..). Nevertheless, you can expect our forum to have at least the features mentioned in this document. I will try to keep this document as up to date as possible!

Administrator Features:
Features available for the administrator(s) of our forum.

Integration with Joomla: Our Forum is a Joomla Component;
Joomla Users: People having an account with your site and who are logged in are automatically recognized as Registered Users. They wil receive an user profile automatically upon first entry of the forum;
Advanced Configuration: Configure your forum through the Admin Area of your Joomla Installation;
Advanced Administration: Easily create new Categories and Forums for your board. Delete, rename and move them as you like;
User Administration: View and/or edit all user profiles for your forum, including their preferences, signature and subscriptions. Handy if people have offending signatures..;
Emoticon Manager: View, edit and add emoticons (smiley faces) to your forum from the Admin Area of your Joomla installation;
Registered Users Only: Block your Forum for public users of your site;
Public Read / Registered Write: Allow public users to enter your forum but restrict post privileges for registered users;
User Edits: (dis)allow registered users to edit their own posts;
Show History: Configure your forum so that users will see the thread history when they reply/quote to posts;
History Limit: Limit the number of shown posts in the thread history;
Allow Subscriptions: dis(allow) registered users to subscribe to a topic. Once subscribed they'll get an email notification on new posts;
Flood Protection: Set the required time interval (in seconds) between posts of a single user from 0 (disabled) to indefinite;
CSS Template Editor: an inline CSS editor in the Admin Area to customize your forum to your site easily;
Instructions: Simple instructions from the Admin Area to get your Forum up and running quickly;

Administrator Features accesible from the Forum itself:
Moderator/Administrator actions: All default moderator actions (edit/delete/move/lock/stick/...) are easily available from the frontend;

Basic User Features:
Features available for all allowed users of our forum 

Basics: Reply/quote to posts and create Topics;
Smiley: Large range of Topic Icons and Smilies for posts;
bbCode: Very easy, clickable bbCode support for bold, italic, underline, URL and Quotes;
Latest Posts View: Show all posts from the past 4, 8, 12, 24, 48, 168 hours (168 hours is a week) or since your last visit;
Direct links: to the latest post in a Category or Forum (dependant on the view the user is in at that time);
View Type Selection: Users can easily toggle between Threaded and Flat views which will be remembered throghout the whole session (with session cookie);
Bread Crumbs: Easy navigation through bread crumbs all the way;

Registered User Features:
Features available for registered users of your forum. Registered users are user that have an account inside Joomla with your site.User Profile: Upon first entry in the forum, Registered Users will get a profile automatically;
Subscriptions: If enabled by the Administrator, registered users can subscribe to topics (also if they haven't written anything in it). They will then be emailed by your forum upon new posts to these topics.
Prefered View Type: Select between Threaded and Flat View Types. Our forum will adjust to this preference when the user returns;
Signature: A 150 characters long signature;
Subscriptions: List their subscriptions and unsubscribe from topics (in their profile).
Avatars: Upload your own avatars.
